Fun Facts
Some fun facts about myself, are that I absolutely love travelling! So far, I haven't had a chance to do all the travelling I have wanted to do, but I believe that I have exceeded my own expectations of myself. Since I received my driver's license in high school, nobody has been able to pull my love for driving all over California away from me. I started in San Diego, and have worked my way up to Los Angeles, Frazier Park (a small mountain city off the grape vine), Merced, Discovery Bay (a small
About Me
I am a graduate of UC Merced. I received my bachelor's in science and I minored in Natural Science Education. I grew up in San Diego, and have had a number of different jobs, mainly because of all the travelling around I did while I was in school and on vacations. Like I said in my fun facts, I studied abroad in Ireland during my junior year in college. While I was in Ireland, I studied biology, chemistry and psychology.
For my past fresno">tutoring experience, I worked as a teacher's apprentice in 2 different 3rd grade classrooms for fieldwork hours during my undergraduate years at UC Merced. I was also a teachers apprentice in a high school biology and environmental science class for the same program. In addition, I worked as a clinician for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes in the summer of 2011 and 2012. While I worked for Lindamood-Bell I obtained many essential skills to teach kids and young adults how to read, spell, comprehend and visualize. Lastly, I worked for another fresno">tutoring company part-time, called Sullivan Learning Systems. With this company I taught kids from 1st grade to 8th grade how to read, spell and comprehend as well.
To conclude, I have chosen to become a fresno">tutor because of my passion for teaching. I also feel like I have an obligation to pass on essential knowledge to our future generations. I am currently attending school at fresno-pacific-university">Fresno Pacific University to obtain my multiple subjects teaching credentials. As soon as I get my credentials, I would like to continue going to school for my masters in Integrated math and science.
