Fun Facts
I once dropped into a perfect split from a 4-foot-tall platform during a dance class. My immediate reaction afterwards was that I needed to get some water to drink and move on with the class. I've been dancing on and off for about 5 years and enjoy it tremendously. Try it out sometime!
About Me
For the past five years, I have been developing and improving my skillset as a back-end Software Developer, but recently have thought about a change. I am interested in pursuing a career in Radiology with a long-term goal of specializing in providing images for brain-related diagnoses. In order to achieve that goal, I plan to return to school and find alternative means of employment such as tutoring to compensate for this shifting in my priorities.
Experience
While I've had professional experience tutoring with Educational Connections when I first came out of college, I've realistically been tutoring since I was in 9th grade. I've gone on from tutoring my peers to tutoring students with the potential to become our future STEM leaders, but my passion for providing top-quality support to meet those goals has remained the same. I've tutored over 20 students since then and look forward to taking on new clients every day.
Approach
The most important step for a student to succeed in their academics is making sure that they feel comfortable with the material they are learning. I provide a non-judgmental space for students not only to express the frustrations and difficulties they have with their coursework, but also help direct them towards actively enjoying what they're learning. It's also important to me that each student is treated on an individual basis and not asked to work with the same cookie cutter approach.
