I love listening to music and audiobooks in my free time you will often find me doing that while coloring or drawing. I am also a passionate rock collector and have over 100 crystals!

About Me

I am a freshman at chicago">Loyola University Chicago. I graduated high school with a 4.3 GPA and an international bachelorette diploma. Currently, I am a public health major with a women and gender studies minor. My main extracurricular in college is Mock trial, on weekends you can catch me in the courthouse competing with my team. I am experienced in studying strategies for students with disabilities as I also struggle with disabilities. I am also experienced in different teaching and learning styles as I did a lot of teaching through high school.

Experience

I have been a certified peer health educator for 4 years and have over 100 hours of teaching experience both one-on-one and in a classroom setting. I also did a peer-taught class where I wrote and taught a curriculum. I have a lot of experience working with individuals to find a success plan that works for them.

Approach

In 4th grade, I was diagnosed with my disabilities and I was told that I couldn't let that stop me from achieving my goals and that is the same approach I bring to teaching. I work one-on-one to figure out where the problem areas are and then to set up systems in addition to working on teaching topics so that students are better equipped to learn new material going forward. My teaching style is very dependent on the student, I will work with you to figure out what you need to be successful.
