Fun Facts

Though I am not particularly musically inclined, I love listening to new music and discovering new artists. My favorite bands as of late are The Replacements, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Sonic Youth. I have lived in the Chicagoland area my entire life. I plan to go abroad again for grad school once I graduate from CCC.

About Me

I am a junior studying creative writing and journalism at chicago">Columbia College Chicago. I have a great passion for reading, writing, world and art history, and travel. I have studied literature, professional portfolio, and history at Bath Spa University in England and Franz Kafka's work in Prague through CCC.

Experience

This is my first time working as a tutor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to teach effectively and share my knowledge.

Approach

When I was a kid, I struggled with taking reading exams. Seeing the huge paragraphs I had to analyze felt daunting and even discouraged me from trying. I would give up easily, as I felt I had little guidance from my teachers back in elementary school. I eventually found a way to break down passages piece by piece to understand them and taught myself to take it slow. Reading is about comprehension and understanding what one is reading and why.
