About Me

I recently graduated from houston">the houston">University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a secondary honors minor in phronesis. While my degree may seem distant from math or education, it's anything but. From it, I've learned how to effectively communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, as well as different age groups.

Experience

I started math tutoring while in high school. From 1st graders to freshmen in college, I have experience with all levels of math and the skills of the student. I have tutored both online and in person, and I have the tools and software necessary to be successful in both.

Approach

I strongly believe that the most important part of teaching any subject is making sure that the child has a strong understanding of the fundamental ideas presented in the subject, without a strong foundation the house is faulty. I tend to have a Socratic approach to teaching, so I ask a lot of questions and try to see where the student might be mistaken or correct.
