Fun Facts

I am a very outgoing person. I love to meet new people and make new friends. If I see someone alone, I like to go up to them and start conversations in hopes of becoming friends. I enjoy being around others.
I was born and raised in California and I moved to Indiana about 3 years ago. I miss my family and friends but I love Indiana.
I love working with kids. My previous jobs both involved me working with kids and I loved it so much.

About Me

I am a sophomore at Ball State University. I am currently double majoring in Biology and Pre-Medicine, with a minor in Chemistry. I am keeping my options open and like to explore different areas of the medical field but I am going to go to Med school after I graduate from Ball State.

Experience

When I worked at Urban Air, I was a Court Monitor and a Party Host. I would check attractions and make sure all the kids were playing safely and having fun. I took care of birthday parties and would help the parents with anything they needed.
When I worked at Kumon, I was a Tutor as well as an Office Assistant. I taught kids math and reading/writing, especially focusing on kids ages 7-13. I would take care of grading and their attendance.

Approach

I believe that kids can love learning if taught the right way. If you treat the kids kindly and with respect, they will want to continue learning. I am a hands-on and visual learner so I like to teach the same way. I believe this makes kids feel more involved and they will be happier this way.
