I am a recent graduate in Economics and Global Studies from the washington">University of Washington. I'm originally from Seattle and am passionate about all things international econ and environmental science!
Experience
In high school and college, I tutored for many years and at various different levels. In high school I served as an academic recovery tutor in our math department, helping students who were behind catch up to the appropriate level. In college I worked as a writing tutor and then was selected to serve on an economics board whose responsibilities included holding drop-in tutoring for undergraduates who needed it. Approach
The most important part of approaching any teaching experience is deeply understanding your students and the level that they are at. Starting slow and small allows you to cover more ground than simply jumping into the deep end. It's important to understand your individual students and what they could need from you before attempting to assist them.
