Fun facts about me: I’ve had the opportunity to teach 7th grade, 8th grade, and high school math, sharing my love for the subject across a range of levels. Beyond math, I’m passionate about animal care, particularly for rescued farm animals. And one of my most memorable experiences? Spending a summer as an intern at NASA!

About Me

My name is Jenna, and I hold a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Cal Poly SLO. My passions span a variety of fields, including web development, software, astronomy, mathematics, and animal care. With over 10 years of experience as a tutor and mathematics teacher, I have dedicated my career to education. Inspired by the incredible math teachers I had, I take great joy in helping students uncover their potential and build confidence in their abilities.

Experience

My passion for math flourished during college, where I started tutoring in 2008. I gained valuable experience tutoring children privately in their homes and assisting my peers on campus. After transferring to university, I earned my degree in mathematics, which opened the door to a diverse career path. Since then, I have worked in technology, as a teacher, a tutor, and in the compassionate field of rescued farm animal care, each role enriching my skills and broadening my perspective.

My tutoring approach focuses on meeting each student exactly where they are in their learning journey, providing tailored, achievable next steps that are both appropriately challenging and designed to ensure success. This method helps students build confidence as they master new skills, fostering a sense of accomplishment and continuous growth.
