One fun fact about me is that in high school, I studied film for four years and went on to win film festivals, create commercials, and produce music videos. It was always something I genuinely found peace doing and hope to continue to do it freelance.

About Me

I’m Tiana, I’m a freshman at Rutgers University, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Childhood Studies. My ultimate goal is to become a teacher while also managing my real estate properties. I’m a hardworking individual with a strong drive to achieve my goals, always striving to reach my full potential in both my personal and professional life.

Experience

I’ve never tutored professionally but hoped to. My closest experience was as a senior peer mentor, guiding freshmen through high school challenges. Academically, I took only AP and Honors English in high school and completed college-level English Composition courses through dual enrollment, allowing me to bypass English requirements in college. Now, I’m minoring in childhood education to learn how to best teach and connect with children, passing on my knowledge to help them grow.

Approach

As a kid, I hated asking for help and often felt disconnected during tutoring. I was always afraid to ask questions for fear of seeming like I was not smart. My goal is to change that experience for any child I help, making them feel comfortable asking questions, not afraid of not knowing something, and ultimately helping them enjoy the process of learning and receiving support.
