Experience
I have been teaching Anatomy and Physiology for the past 7.5 years and have come across many struggling students. it is not always easy to figure out what each student needs to be able to finish the course successfully, but when the student's grades are improving and you see the happy faces when they get their exams back, is so very rewarding.
Approach
Over the past 7 years, I have learned, that there are so many different approaches to learning and that each student is unique in the way they can take in information. You need to work with each student individually to identify their learning style for the student to be successful. What worked for you as a student might not work for your students. Listen to your students and how they think they can study best.

I have been teaching A&P II lab and lecture for the past 7 years at two different Colleges. This has allowed me to find out what students struggle with and to advise them on best studying strategies. I have received very positive feedback from many students on how much my suggestions on how to study helped them improve their grades.
German Tutoring
I taught German at a local German school for several years. The reason why I did was that when I first took my children to the school I was a little surprised about the German teachers German language skills. She made so many very basic mistakes that I felt that as a native German speaker I can really help students improve as I am able to point out the mistakes they are making and can correct them. Whereas some non native speakers might not be able to do so since they might not catch on to some of the smaller mistakes. I can also lead an entire session completely in German without switching to English at any point which I believe is very beneficial for someone who wants to improve their fluency.
Nutrition Tutoring
I am an MD with a Masters in Education and 7 years of experience teaching medical students and college level students. Because of my strong science background, my education degree and my experience in teaching, I feel very confident that I can tutor students on nutrition. I have been part of the nutrition curriculum committee at the Zucker School of Medicine for the past 5 years. In addition I was trained in the Health Meets Food Culinary medicine curriculum and have been teaching it as part of a culinary medicine elective to the medical students in their last year of medical school for the past 5 years.
Living Environment Tutoring
I am an MD with a Masters in Education who has taught Anatomy and Physiology for the past 7 years. Because of my strong science background, my education degree and my experience in teaching, I feel very confident that I can tutor students on all subjects covered within the Living Environment course.
