Fun Facts
I love all kinds of music, and I've been composing my own music since 2006. While my primary instrument is the keyboard, I also can play trumpet, piano, guitar, sing, and even whistle! I also love to play video games, and I have started creating my own games as well. I have family in Greece, and I have visited there 9 times in my lifetime. While I wish I was more fluent in Greek than I am, I can hold a short conversation.
About Me
I graduated in 2014 from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Music Minor. Currently I am trying to apply to graduate school in the hopes of getting a Master's Degree, and eventually a PhD, in Mathematics. My dream job would be to teach undergraduate level mathematics courses at a university.
Experience
I've always enjoyed helping others as much as I can. During my time in high school, I spent the majority of my community service requirement charlotte">tutoring my peers in classes such as Math and Physics. When I entered university, I maintained this practice by helping out my friends and acquaintances with their own courses, in subjects such as College Algebra, Calculus I, and even Intro to Computer Programming!
Approach
I believe that students need to fully understand material that is presented to them, and not simply prepare for a test. When I charlotte">tutor, I make sure to cover any topics my tutees are struggling with as detailed yet comprehensible as possible. I also make sure to continuously have them demonstrate what they have learned by asking questions that engage them in the material and letting them solve their own assignments, as this not only reinforces their knowledge but also boosts their confidence.
