One passion that people quickly discover about me is that I am deeply proud of my undergraduate alma mater Penn State! I love following their football team every Fall!

About Me

I retired from a 31-year career as a government auditor, where I spent my career performing various types of audits, including tax, Medicaid reimbursement, and public assistance programs. I have also worked as an adjunct accounting instructor at a local community college as well as a local university.

Experience

Currently, I tutor accounting through other platforms.

Approach

My biggest philosophy about tutoring is the meet the students where they are intellectually. Everyone learns differently, so I try different approaches to the material. I recall the things I struggled with when learning accounting, and I use that to anticipate where students may need additional assistance. I like to approach the work as a coach and try to encourage the student to develop confidence in the materials.
