Fun Facts

I have a variety of interests that include dancing, reading, photography, cooking, tennis and music. I hope to be able to travel in the near future. My most desired place to travel to would be Australia. I was a part of many activities in high school including student council, film club and track & field.

About Me

I am a senior at Molloy College, obtaining a BA in Communications with a minor in Sociology. I plan to go on to obtain my Master's. I am interested in both print & broadcast journalism and hope to work in either field in the future. I love reading an writing. I also have a passion for volunteering and community service because I love helping others.

Experience

I have taken part in tutoring programs in both elementary, middle school and high school. I was a peer tutor that allowed me to help fellow student with subjects like English , Math and reading-comprehension/new-york/long-island">Reading Comprehension. In college I have also tutored fellow students in Spanish. I have also been a religious education instructor to elementary school kids, through my church youth group. I also helped instruct kids who spoke English as a second language during that time

Approach

I had an occupational therapist as a kid and she opened me up to a whole new way of thinking and a whole new way of learning. I find that every student has a different way of learning and absorbing information. My approach to tutoring is observing students and determining what way of absorbing knowledge best suits them, Then I help build their confidence with that subject then help them utilize the right tools, to help them learn the best that they can.
