Fun Facts

My degree has emphasis in sports media, content creation, and pop culture. And although I am mostly sports-oriented, but a fun fact about me is that I love nature photography and keep a top 25 movies of all time list on my phone always.

About Me

I am a senior, anticipated to graduate in May, from Loras College with a degree in creative media minoring in marketing. I am advanced in all levels of the media production process as well as the Adobe Creative Suite. I come from a wonderful, award-winning program at Loras and was even recognized as an Iowa College Media Association award winner for some video editing done in a Sports Media class. My marketing experience allows me to translate art into a promotional business world to increase social media analytics and achieve marketing objectives.

Experience

I have spent my four years of college being a summer camp counselor and a youth wrestling coach. This background in hospitality and mentorship gives me a large advantage in collaborative communication. As for media, I have worn many different hats as an editor, producer, camera operator, and even anchor to bring compelling stories to life in a creative way. As for Photoshop, I have been using Adobe Photoshop for 10 years now (since the 6th grade) to create countless designs.

Approach

The approach I bring to my tutoring style is empathetic and motivational. Truly taking time to understand the topic and why it is frustrating the student is key to moving forward and gaining a better understanding. What is also equally important is the positive reinforcement that comes as the learning process begins. If you cannot help the student believe in their abilities to accomplish things within a certain subject, they'll never do it when you're not around.
