Fun Facts

There are many activities that I like to do for fun. I have starred in many musicals such as "Into the Woods" and "Little Shop of Horrors." Currently, I am the president of my sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, and president of the Speech Club (NSSLHA). I love to encourage all of my students in my fieldwork to be active. In the future, I see myself traveling around the world and bringing my experience back to the classroom.

About Me

I am a junior at St. Joseph's College double majoring in Child Study and Speech Pathology. I have taken the following workshops: Child Abuse Workshop, SAVE Workshop, and DASA workshop. I am very proud to say that I have been on the Dean's List for 2 years. I am also a member of the Honors Program at St. Joseph's College. In the future I see myself as a Speech Pathologist in California.

Experience

As a student teacher I have had the opportunity to teach at Public Schools in my area. I have taught in a 3rd Grade ICT classroom as well as a 5th Grade ICT classroom. I have also been teaching Sunday school at my church for children ages 3-5 for 2 years now. I enjoy all of these experiences and look forward to having more experiences in the near future.

Approach

While studying to become a teacher and speech pathologist, I have seen students who have amazing potential, but no motivation. They are discouraged my the common core and have been told they will never get it. I was to bring motivation to these students. I want them to know that I believe in them and that they can be so much more than they think. I will do this by being dedicated and finding fun lessons when I tutor so that the students are learning through fun experiences.
