English Tutoring
In my education at The New School, I rigorously studied grammar, literature, and creative writing. I know how to craft an essay, analyze a novel, and break down the mechanics of the English language.
Homework Coach Tutoring
A student can only learn if he or she feels confident, secure, and safe. Too often teachers blame the students for poor work. But I believe there are no bad students only bad teachers. As a homework coach, my biggest goal is to empower students to enjoy learning.
Study Skills Tutoring
One of the hardest things about being a student is time management. While there are some universal study skills, most people develop a unique study style. After years of college, I have my own learning style that works for me. With a student, I will not dictate my study approach. Instead, I will use my experience to help my student discover his or her own learning style.
