Fun Facts
I have 2 big dogs who I consider to be my children. I love to run with them at Town Lake. I love going to the beach and my dream is to one day scuba dive an old shipwreck!
About Me
I'm a senior Neurobiology major at the University of Texas at Austin. When I graduate, I want to take a year off to save up some money and gain life experience before starting medical school in the hopes of one day becoming a pediatric neurologist.
I've always been the friend that loved helping her other friends with homework. When I started university in Austin I also started babysitting a family with 2 girls and recently, a new boy. When the girls became old enough, I helped them in reading and math using the Kumon learning program. It has been so much fun to watch them both evolve from not being able to read at all to reading ME bedtime stories! I'm really looking forward to working with students in math and science. I really love these subjects and I hope that passion can make it easier for me to communicate the material in a fun, easy to understand way!
Math and science didn't really click for me until I understood the method behind the madness. As a austin">tutor, I like to give students an overview of the process, why the process is necessary and what other processes it's related to before getting into the nitty gritty details. I find that learning happens much more easily when students know where they started and where they're headed. I love drawing and colors and I find that using these tools can really make the world of science come alive! My main goal as a austin">tutor is to always stay positive and make learning as fun and beneficial to the students as I can.
