Fun Facts
I find singing a fascinating way to release stress and fill my spare time. I am always learning to sing new songs, sometimes in different languages. I believe learning a new language opens many doors to a new world.
About Me
I am a senior Economics major in CUNY queens-college">Queens College. I am also a pre-med student, minoring in biology and chemistry. I recently took the MCAT and I will apply to medical schools in June 2015. Through combining my knowledge of natural sciences with my knowledge in economics, I believe I have been able to build a strong background which will be very helpful in my future career.
Experience
My experience involves tutoring my friends and classmates in high school and helping my younger siblings and cousins with their homework and preparing them for their exams. I also have 2 years of research experience in microbiology and chemistry research labs. I have been volunteering in the North Shore LIJ Emergency Room since Fall 2012.
Approach
Through 16 years of education, I have been able to develop study techniques and strategies that work best for me. I have realized that these strategies are different for each level of education. For example, I realized that the methods I used to study in high school are not sufficient for college level education. Therefore I had to come up with new strategies to study for college courses. After all, basic techniques for succeeding in education remain the same: repition and solving problems
