I once taught Shakespeare to students using rap and theatre games! I'm a huge fan of mystery novels, but I always read the end first. I have a Doctorate in Education-but I still love learning new things. I love coffee, cookies, and colourful pens (in that exact order). Finally, I've helped hundreds of students feel smarter and more confident in just one session! Let's learn together!

About Me

I hold a Doctorate in Education Administration, earned in 2012 from Ohio University, a Master's in Teaching from Marygrove College and a Bachelor of Science in English Language Arts and Literature. All degrees were earned with honors. I have ten years of experience in teaching and ten years of experience in administration. My speciality? Making tough subjects easier with laughter, patience, and insight into how students learn best.

Experience

I have ten years of experience teaching and tutoring students from preschool through adulthood. People often ask me which grade level I like teaching/tutoring the best. My response is always the same: Whichever grade level I'm currently working with! Learning is fun, and I want you to enjoy it. When I work with students at Frog Tutoring, I am always trying to find new ways of making the learning fun and relevant to what they are doing in school. I love to help!

Approach

As a child, I was often bored in school. I frequently thought to myself, "There must be a way to make learning more fun." That was my goal as a child, and as an adult, I have accomplished a strategy that combines learning with having fun. I want our time together to be so enjoyable you don't even realise you're learning...until you think about all the things you now know how to do. You will never be bored with me, but you will never be sitting quietly, either.
