I love learning about the natural world, and for fun, I learned the scientific names of the local flora and fauna on Oahu, spelling and identification.

About Me

I am a senior studying business administration online at Southern New Hampshire University. I started my journey in business to pursue my own business in helping to educate kids in Hawaii one day. I am a new mother with a child who motivates me every day. I have a background in marine biology, where I studied coral ecology for about five years.

Experience

In high school, I was proficient in math and tutored algebra students for a year. In college, I excelled in my first year at school to be noticed by professors, and then was onboarded into assisting teaching biology II for a year, but I am proficient in biology I and II

Approach

I have such a passion for learning and share that passion when I taught. Learning wasn't always easy for me, as I struggled at times to understand math, especially. When I got better at learning math, it was thanks to talented tutors who sat with me one-on-one. Sciences came naturally to me and I understood and loved them automatically, this passion has helped many students who retook the biology course were able to pass and understand the content with proficiency.
