Fun Facts
My love for sports has fueled my passion for orthopaedic surgery, and I will be the first physician in my family! Although I chose to pursue medicine instead of a career in professional soccer, I keep up with many of my friends who play professionally in Europe and the US. I have recently gotten into college football, and I have expanded my sports bubble as an avid pickleball player! I cook every night and frequently paint. I will be applying for art shows this upcoming fall.
About Me
I’m a 4th-year medical student currently taking a research year focused on orthopaedic surgery. I earned my B.S. in Biology from DePaul University in Chicago, where I also played NCAA Division I soccer. I grew up in a loving home in St. Louis, Missouri, and knew I wanted to become a physician since I was 10 years old. With over eight years of tutoring and coaching experience, I’m passionate about mentorship and helping students build both knowledge and confidence. Tutoring is especially important to me because I lacked guidance during my academic journey, support that could have made the process far more manageable. My goal is to be the mentor I once needed and create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to reach their full potential.
Experience
Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked with students at the middle school, high school, university, and medical school levels. During my undergraduate years, I tutored extensively in ACT preparation, AP Biology, and Calculus, helping students improve their test scores and master challenging material. In medical school, I expanded my role as an academic mentor by serving as a teaching assistant in anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.
Approach
My teaching philosophy is built on the understanding that every student learns differently. I can provide a generalized structure that is uniquely tailored to each student's learning style, goals, and needs. As both a medical student and former Division I athlete, I’ve learned firsthand that academic growth comes from identifying and strengthening weaknesses while reinforcing existing strengths. I apply that same mindset with my students by offering targeted, supportive, and engaging lessons.
