I LOVE playing piano and hiking up to Yosemite whenever I get the chance. I also play the drums, but the piano is my favorite. Besides this, I love to debate hot button issues just because I love to debate. It's fun.
About Me
I am currently a graduate student at fresno-pacific-university">Fresno Pacific University (New Testament Studies). Once I graduate, I hope to go into a doctorate program so that I can eventually work as a professor at community college or university. Other things I like to do on my free time is to read and write about issues like religion and philosophy.
Experience
I have tutored for over four years and it all began in 2008. I started fresno">tutoring foreign students who were struggling to learn English as a second language. I helped them with reading, writing, and grammar. In addition, I also tutored students in Algebra. This all took place at Reedley Community College till about 2011. Starting in 2015, I I started fresno">tutoring students from k-12 in math and literature. It was a pleasure to see how students' grades would improve after several weeks of fresno">tutoring.
Approach
Somewhere along the way, I figured out that complex problems can all be understood if you brake them down into manageable chunks that are easier to understand. I enjoy breaking complex issues down. In addition, I have also discovered that it is important to figure out each person's style of learning and then accommodate to that learning style.

MastersEnglish Tutoring
I tutored English to students from other countries for approximately four years. I helped them with reading, writing, and grammar. In addition, one of my essays was published in one of Reedley College's journals titled "Symmetry." I have also received straight A's, with the exception of one B+, on my essays and writing assignments so far as a graduate student.

I first tutored Algebra at Reedley College, I loved it. I got an A in most of my math classes as an undergraduate, including my second semester of Calculus. In addition, I have tutored basic math to kids k-12.

I first tutored Algebra at Reedley College, I loved it. I then proceeded to take Calculus and I aced it. In addition, I have tutored basic math to kids k-12. This gave me more experience with tutoring Algebra and also Geometry. It was a pleasure to see my students' grades go up!

I just finished tutoring a tutoring in some basic Geometry a few weeks ago. The material came back rather easily to me! Geometry was a breeze in High School and I'm confident I can tutor it.

I have tutored middle school students of all levels for about a year now. I have taken college math up to Calculus and, therefore, it has been very easy for me to tutor math (any kind) to middle school students. Anyway, it was a pleasure to see their grades shoot straight up!

I have tutored middle school students in literature, reading comprehension, and writing, for about a year now. It has been a pleasure to see them grow as readers and I look forward to being a part of this process. As to my credentials, I have a degree in Philosophy and am currently working on a master's degree, so I have plenty of reading and writing experience!
Religion Tutoring
I got a degree in philosophy with a focus on religion. Currently, I am enrolled in Seminary and am acquiring a master's degree in the New Testament. Religion is just one of my favorite topics and I am constantly acquiring new knowledge of it.

In addition, I am making it my goal this summer to read one book each week so that it can help me have content for a new blog I'm setting up! I love to read. Thus, I'm confident I can help other students with their reading comprehension skills. And, not least, I tutored foreign exchange students for a good three years (approximately) with their reading skills.
