Fun Facts
Not only am I currently studying to become a doctor in podiatric medicine, but I am also a professional boxer. Outside of my studies, when I am not training for another fight, I am engaged in various hobbies, which include, but are not limited to, winemaking, playing the saxophone, and DIY projects.
About Me
I am a podiatric medical student at the UTRGV School of Podiatric Medicine. I have been accepted into the student cohort of the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research, and I am the primary author of a peer-reviewed article on diabetic wound care.
Experience
While attending Texas Tech University, I worked as a peer tutor in the subjects of Chemistry and Biology during my junior and senior years. I tutored 2-3 students a day, 3-5 days a week. As a student at the UTRGV School of Podiatric Medicine, I take it upon myself to mentor my colleagues and assist them with their studies whenever needed.
Approach
I believe in using a stepwise approach to deconstruct and analyse complex subject matter. With a bachelor's degree in philosophy, I have found that formal logic serves as the foundation of all disciplines. When utilised correctly, this foundation will enhance critical thinking and eventually become intuitive.

MastersEnglish Tutoring
My degree in philosophy was reading and writing intensive, enabling a vast amount of experience regarding comprehension and communication at a high level through the English language. Additionally, I have experience tutoring a diverse student population, requiring me to adjust my communication methods and strategies of explanation to better suit the student of focus. Furthermore, my time spent as a long-term substitute teacher has given me additional experience working with younger students from grades K-6.
