Fun Facts
I have my associate’s degree in dental hygiene, and I genuinely love both health sciences and math. I’ve worked as a dental assistant and as a head lifeguard, where I managed a team of 22. Outside of work and studying, I spend most of my free time with my two dogs, Obi (a golden retriever) and Rory (a Doberman).
About Me
I’m a recent dental hygiene graduate with a strong academic background in science and math. I’ve always loved helping others learn, whether it’s breaking down tricky chemistry topics or walking through anatomy step by step. I’m dedicated, easy to talk to, and genuinely want my students to succeed and feel proud of their progress.
Experience
I’ve tutored peers throughout my dental hygiene program in subjects like chemistry, microbiology, and communication, helping them prepare for exams and understand foundational concepts. I also led a team of 22 lifeguards as head guard, which strengthened my skills in communication, time management, and leadership. These roles taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and explain things clearly and patiently.
Approach
My approach to tutoring is all about meeting students where they’re at. I know how frustrating it can be to feel lost or behind, so I focus on creating a calm, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions. I break things down in simple, clear steps, especially for subjects like math or science that can feel overwhelming. Whether someone needs help building confidence or just wants a different way of looking at the material, I’m here to help them feel capable and in control.
