I think one thing that you would find surprising about me is that when I am not tutoring, I am diamond painting. I think that is a hobby I became obsessed with during the Pandemic and just haven't stopped!

About Me

I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in 2021 American Sign Language. I have been tutoring for about a year now. My specialities are Math and American Sign Language. Those are the two subjects that I think I have the most fun with, but I also tutor English, the SAT, and the GED. I started tutoring and loved it. I enjoy meeting new learners, understanding their learning styles and adapting to new situations. Every learner deserves an equal opportunity to succeed, in my opinion.

Experience

I have been tutoring for about a year now. I have seen the most success in math. I think that math is more step-based, and once you have the steps down, it is easier to grasp the concept of math. I enjoy that "ah ha" moment students get when they finally understand that complex topic. That is my favourite part of the learning experience. It lets me know that I have accomplished what I set out to do in each of my tutoring sessions.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with grasping the hard topics. It took longer for me to understand, so my approach is to teach with kindness and understanding that not every student is going to understand right off the bat. I will try different methods until the student understands. It is my job to make sure that each student leaves with some sort of understanding of the topic.
