Fun Facts
I love to read, and I got into reading education as I believe it is the tool that we need to bridge the educational gaps. My favorite thing to do outside of literacy activities is to spend time outside doing things like swimming.

I am a double Gator, which means I received both my degrees from the University of Florida. Going to the University of Florida changed my outlook on life and helped me to foster my passion for education.

Approach
My approach when it comes to learning is to be patient and meet individuals where they are and work intentionally to bring them to where they need to be or pass it, to foster success with learning, no matter the content area.

My undergraduate degree is in African American Studies which required me to study and do in-depth research about the African diaspora. It required me to dig into the history of the world and how that impacts where we are today. My honors thesis centered around the educational experience of African American pre and post Brown v. Board of Education.
