Fun Facts
I have three rabbits that live in my home like cats - free range and litter box trained. I have a passion for biology because of my love of the outdoors! As a Pacific Northwesterner, I love hiking, backpacking, kayaking, camping, and gardening, rain or shine. You name it, I'm there.
About Me
I am working towards my Master's Degree in Education to teach Sciences at the middle to high school level. Teaching has been a passion of mine for many years, and it's a privilege to be able to support and be a part of the growth of anyone looking to make themselves more than they were yesterday. Especially when it's hard.
Experience
I have been a substitute teacher for over two years in the public school system, working with kids of all ages and in all subjects. I tutored classmates in college and tutored professionally in a federal program to support students who were two grade levels behind with wild success. I have awards of excellence for inclusion and differentiation in the classroom as well.
Approach
I have always been a collaborative leader and bring that to my approach in education. I firmly believe anyone can learn; we just have to take the time to figure out what works for us! Learning is a journey, unique to the individual, and nothing builds more confidence than capability. I know when I sit down with a student that we are going to get where we need to be, and we will do it our way.
