About Me
I have my bachelor's degree in Earth & Environmental Studies from ASU, and my associate's in fine arts from Phoenix College. I am a hard-working, thorough, driven individual who wants to help future generations become responsible, well-rounded, caring citizens. In my free time, I like to draw, cook and bake, be outside, travel, and hang out with friends. I own a lot of plants!
Experience
I have my bachelor's degree in Earth & Environmental Studies from ASU, and my associate's in fine arts from Phoenix College. I have worked in education for 6 years in a number of different roles. I have experience working one-on-one, in groups, managing lessons, and providing instruction to students from 1st to 8th grade. I also have my substitute certification. I have been an on-and-off tutor for the past 2 years.
Approach
From working in education for the past six years, I have seen many different approaches to learning and have seen firsthand how some methods work well for some, but not for others. I believe everyone has a particular learning style, and it is up to the educator to find an approach that helps the student learn and retain the information. Flexibility and patience is key.
