About Me
I major in Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas! I chose this school because it’s 40 minutes from home, so I can travel easily to see my dog. My goals are to become a Veterinarian, and I hope to make it into Texas A&M Veterinary School of Medicine.
Experience
I used to be an AVID tutor at an elementary school, so I would help students with all kinds of studying strategies and homework problems. Not only that, I am currently a university tutor for chemistry and biology. In addition, I work as a Veterinary Assistant in Carrollton and have been a Kennel Tech before, too.
Approach
I always found it hard to learn in a classroom setting when the teacher is speaking, and I felt more comfortable with learning one-on-one. I would often go after school to attend tutoring, or mainly self-taught myself most concepts. I approach learning as recognizing patterns and providing a good explanation as to WHY things happen or are the way they are. Doing this, I found that students can remember things much more easily and enjoy them much more.

Biology
College Algebra Tutoring
I received all A's for all of my college career in Math, including College Algebra. I taught myself the subject through YouTube videos, and aced my exams! I am confident I can teach this in a way that is understandable to anyone of any age.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I received all A's for all of my college career, including Pre-Calculus. I taught myself this course through YouTube videos and aced my exams. For all of my math courses, I was able to teach myself, which is why I am confident I can teach someone else.
Chemistry I Tutoring
To be transparent, I took Chemistry 1 in both high school and college. I got a 3 on the AP Chemistry Exam, but it didn't count towards my college degree since the score was too low. However, I took it again for my degree in college and got an A in the class!
Chemistry II Tutoring
I received an A in Chemistry II as well. I have to admit, this course was hard, but it's not impossible! I memorized patterns that help me succeed in this class, and I am more than happy to share them with other students.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I received all A's for most of my high school career, including Trigonometry. I taught myself the subject through YouTube videos, and aced my exams! I can make this class easy for any student.

I took Algebra ! and II during Covid, so I have experience learning how to take notes and learn over video calls. I received an A in this class, and I have tutored my friends on this course before.

Biology Tutoring
I took this Biology course during my freshman year of high school, and currently taking it in college. It's a lot of memorization, but the concepts are not difficult and are really interesting. I can help students succeed in this class by recognizing patterns.
