Fun Facts
Fun fact: Outside of law, I play the flute, enjoy baking, and love exploring how creativity balances with my work as an immigration lawyer.
About Me
I am a licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law and experience as a Senior Examiner at the Wyoming Division of Banking, where I developed safeguard policies for trust companies, banks, and digital asset institutions. My background includes contract drafting, compliance, regulatory analysis, and litigation support, with particular strengths in legal research and writing. I have also worked in immigration law, advising clients and preparing complex filings.
Experience
I am a licensed attorney and immigration lawyer with a strong background in bar exam subjects like Contracts, Torts, Evidence, and Secured Transactions. I enjoy helping students break down complex legal concepts into clear, practical steps that build confidence and exam readiness.
Approach
When I first started preparing for the bar, I found myself struggling to keep up with the material and the pressure of the exam. By refining my study approach with consistent outlining, targeted practice, and strict time management, I was able to turn that challenge into success, ultimately passing in the top 10% of test-takers nationwide. I share this experience with students to remind them that early struggles don’t define the outcome; with the right structure and persistence, you can excel.

I studied a full range of bar exam subjects, including Torts, Contracts, Property, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, Family Law, Trusts & Estates, and Secured Transactions. These were among my strongest areas in law school and contributed to my passing the Uniform Bar Exam in the top 10% of test-takers. While I have not formally tutored, I have significant experience explaining legal concepts to clients, simplifying statutes, case law, and regulations into clear, actionable steps. My Juris Doctor and active law license ensure that I can teach these subjects with both academic depth and practical perspective.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
I have extensive experience using Microsoft Word in a professional legal setting, where precision, formatting, and efficiency are essential. My work has involved drafting contracts, legal briefs, motions, and compliance documents, requiring mastery of Word’s advanced tools such as styles, tables of contents, track changes, and document comparison. I can confidently teach students how to use Word for both academic and professional purposes, from basic document creation to advanced formatting and editing.
Conversational Portuguese Tutoring
I am a native Portuguese speaker and use the language daily in both personal and professional settings. As a licensed attorney, I have also communicated with clients and colleagues in Portuguese, explaining complex legal concepts in clear and accessible terms. This background equips me to support learners in developing both everyday conversational fluency and professional communication skills.
