Fun Facts
One thing people quickly learn about me is that I love colors. My philosophy is that every day two color minimum per outfit, this way every day has a little extra brightness.
About Me
Hi! My name is Emma Cullo. I’m in my final semester of graduate school at St. Bonaventure University, where I study the ins and outs of media literacy. Before attending graduate school, I attended Clarion University, where I served as President of the Women in Business organization and made the Dean’s List. Along the way, I’ve developed a lasting passion for history and creative writing that continues to inspire both my studies and my teaching style.
Experience
As a former Communications and U.S. History tutor at Clarion University, and with early teaching experience in a Montessori preschool, I’ve learned to adapt my communication style to meet each student where they are. I focus on empowering students to build confidence while sharing my own love for learning.
Approach
As a child, I often felt held back by anxiety and the fear that I might never learn something. That experience taught me that children’s concrete beliefs can become obstacles to their growth. Through my teaching, I’ve learned that learning is both an emotional and intellectual process. By taking it slowly, building confidence step by step, and drawing on the methods of educators like Maria Montessori, I aim to create a safe, fun environment where students get excited to learn.
