I love to do puzzles and try new things. I am always doing solving puzzles and trying new food from other countries in my free time. I am originally from Virginia and moved to Texas in 2023.

About Me

I graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in education for instruction, I also received a certificate in reading tutoring. I currently work at David E. Smith Elementary as a pre-k teachers aid.

Experience

I was an elementary reading tutor for five years, and spent countless hours working at several elementary schools, while in Florida. While volunteering at elementary schools I helped lead small groups, whole groups, and worked one on one with students. After college I moved to Virginia where I taught all subjects for fifth grade. I then moved to Texas where I worked as a substitute for elementary teachers for a year. For the past two years I have worked as a pre-k teacher aide in Birdville ISD.

Approach

I know sometimes teachers might now have the time to devote the necessary time each student needs to succeed, which is where I step in to help. My goal is to help provide students with the extra time needed to help them grow and learn. I have seen and experienced the impact of having a good teacher and tutor help me when I struggled, and I want to have that same positive impact on others.
