About Me

I studied Chemistry at UCLA and worked in a neuroscience research lab during my undergraduate career. I have interned for large manufacturing companies and even started a small consulting business out in Oklahoma for a few years before/during COVID. I spend most of my time learning, working, or exercising.

Experience

I have been an academic tutor since I was 18 years old. I have helped mentor and teach kids of all ages and backgrounds. I find the work extremely rewarding and engaging. I have worked at Mathnasium to help students learn the fundamentals of mental math, and have worked with all sorts of learning styles.

Approach

I needed tutors growing up. They took the time to listen and work through various problems in different ways. They used verbal, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques to help me understand the approach to solving problems. I incorporate this same process in my own teaching methods. The reason I continue to help understand topics is a way for me to pay it forward to those who have helped me in my own academic career.
