I like to learn different instruments. I play piano, drums, guitar, and sing in my church choir. I enjoy fishing, hiking and camping.
About Me
I am a junior at UHCL studying Engineering Physics. When I graduate I hope to either start work as a research and development scientist for an electronics company. Eventually I hope to get my PhD in Material Science and manage an Applied Science lab for an electronics company.
Experience
I have 2 1/2 years of houston">tutoring experience, helping everyone from age 6 to 60. As a math houston">tutor at UHCL I also served as a supplemental course instructor and educational resource developer.
Approach
Because math and science builds heavily upon itself, I have to always diagnose a students weaknesses and attack that first. This is often frustrating to students, particularly older students, but it is essential to making real progress. After that, I show the students how to THINK about the questions being asked. Arithmetic is only part of the proccess. I show students how to see through the equations and have an intuitive leg to stand on in more advanced classes.
