Fun Facts

I am an only child and spent most of my early childhood reading about historical events rather than fiction novels. Inspired by what I learned in history, I began writing at a young age and have developed my skill into something that earns me academic recognition.

About Me

I am a junior History Major at the University of Texas at San Antonio, starting in spring 2026, although I previously attended Texas Woman's University. I have a strong desire to learn more about history so that I might one day work in a museum. I believe it is essential that everyone has a deeper understanding of our world's history, as it is a crucial part of what makes us who we are.

Experience

While I do not have any professional experience in tutoring, I am currently a member of UTSA's Honor Society and was previously a part of TWU's Honor Society. There, I was able to volunteer at various locations. I have also gained some experience in training others during my time working for Six Flags Fiesta Texas. In High School, I was president of the art club and helped the students in my club practice their art skills.

Approach

After observing my professors and teachers over the years, I found that strictness does little good when helping a student learn. Instead, I believe that it is important to build a student's confidence. I would create a supportive environment where someone could feel comfortable, rather than anxious and tense. As for the academics, I would identify their current skill level and ask what they find most challenging or intimidating.
