Fun Facts
I can solve a Rubik's Cube with one hand, and I like to learn new languages. I dream of travelling to places such as Spain or Italy, where I could become a professor and express my passion for mathematics and language at the same time. Having a conversation with somebody in their native language is like a superpower because you get to know who their true personality is.
About Me
I am an applied mathematics major at UCCS with a minor in physics who wants to be an educator in the future. I also love building things with LEGO and programming languages. I might explore graduate school, but what I care about most is making an impact on students regardless of my station in life. springs">Tutoring is a great way for me to spread my contagious passion for learning to others.
Experience
I have helped a handful of friends with complicated concepts such as complex numbers and integration. I have also been tutored myself, and I have found that passion in the instructor is necessary for long-term benefit. Working under Frog springs">Tutoring will enable me to share my love for mathematics with a diverse range of students.
Approach
My appreciation for math grew once I learned that it is highly visual and not just a bunch of formulas to memorize. Primary school completely fails to demonstrate the applications and beauty of the math it teaches. My approach includes visual, easily intuitive examples which help to develop a deeper understanding of the material. A passion for mathematics is not for everyone; however, for those who find the love, life changes dramatically.
