A couple random facts about me- I am an avid knitter! I absolutely love to knit and create new projects. I also love dancing and singing. Music is a big part of my life and I could not live without it!

About Me

Hello! My name is Danielle and I recently graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing! My hope is to work in the Portland area in an ambulatory care setting where I can enrich the lives of others. In addition to nursing, I love doing math! I truly enjoy doing math and hope that I can share my love for the subject with you.

My portland">tutoring experience - I volunteered at my university to help portland">tutor refugee children from Africa. The portland">tutoring was a student led and student volunteer program that met for two hours every Wednesday night for 3 months. Refugee children between the ages 2-21 brought their homework and we helped them in area that they were struggling. In addition I have a lot of experience portland">tutoring my friends- in college I was always the person my friends would come to when they needed help with any sort of math problem!

My approach to portland">tutoring involves breaking down the information into simple, easy to understand steps. Each student and problem they struggle with is unique and I believe in finding different ways to explain the material. I think that encouragement and reassurance is immensely important in building up confidence but I also believe in giving feedback when something is not done correctly. And last, but not least, I believe you have to have fun! Enjoying what you are doing is such an important part of the learning experience.
