Fun Facts

I love to eat. I love food. I enjoy all aspects of food, but overwhelmingly I enjoy the eating of it, especially sitting down with loved ones and tucking in. Let's eat! I take tremendous pleasure in teaching. The doing of my job--introducing and explaining stuff, tending to kids' learning, seeing that they're wringing every possible drip from the rag--is tall fun for me. I deeply enjoy the time with kids and the work we do together.

Experience

I've been lucky to live the life I've described and do all the things I've gotten to do. Working with kids for over 25 years has been a gas!

Approach

To have fun! Yes, learning has to happen, no exceptions. But it can also be fun. And if you're hoping for an autonomous, self-sufficient student, one who's able to critically think and take ownership of the material, the learning has to be fun. Trying to create engaging, rewarding work that doesn't smell like work is my approach.
