Fun Facts
I have traveled to China, Ghana, Cuba, Italy, Greece, and France. I studied Mandarin in middle school and college so that I could speak a little! I love to lift weights and read. I am currently reading a Stephen King novel (Holly).
About Me
I earned my PhD in Kinesiology (emphasis in Exercise Psychology) from the University of
Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2024. I then earned my MPH on the biostatistics and epidemiology track from Yale School of Public Health in 2025. I am now a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute.
Experience
I am currently a volunteer tutor for a student in 11th grade. I have helped with his physics homework (not theory, just the math, which is algebra). I volunteered as a math tutor for a middle schooler (8th grade) during my time at Yale. I was a graduate teaching assistant during my PhD, and I taught a research methods course to sophomores, juniors, and seniors in college.
Approach
I am very student-driven; I can adapt to strategies that any student needs to learn. I love to bring in outside resources to help tutor/teach, and I encourage students to do the same. I am always surprised at how many students don’t realize how helpful Google can be for school.
