Fun Facts
I love animals! Over the course of my life, I've had one dog, two cats, four frogs and a guinea pig. I also briefly worked at a petting zoo when I was a teenager.
About Me
I'm a recent graduate from William & Mary, where I majored in Biology and minored in Marine Science. After graduating, I worked as an educator in a children's science museum before becoming a biochemist. I hope to work with you soon!
Experience
As a science educator, I primarily worked with kids aged 6-12 on topics related to natural history, earth science and geological history. I've also had experience working in a college journalism newsroom, and am very comfortable providing feedback or other help with reading, writing & editing skills.
Approach
I was never a star student in school, and I started doing well when I had teachers who were encouraging, involved and played to my strengths (in my case, this involved a lot of live demonstrations & working with my hands). I believe in keeping up motivation and treating learning as a collaborative process - I don't think people do their best when they're just being lectured at.
