My main passion is music, which I can listen to all day and all night! I also love to travel and to chat about world events. I'm very outgoing and love to meet new, interesting people.
About Me
I am a senior Media, Culture, and Communication major at New York University. I have a 3.7 GPA and love to learn. When I graduate, I hope to teach English abroad for a few years, receive my Masters degree, and then secure a job in the music industry in New York or Los Angeles. I have a passion for travel, and would love to find a way to combine that passion with music (possibly as a tour manager).
Experience
In high school, I was a peer mentor for some of my classmates in Math and English. I really enjoyed helping them and it was very fulfilling to see them improve! I also spent a Summer in Costa Rica as a volunteer teaching English to teenagers.
Approach
I find the the best approach to teaching is to be as encouraging as possible. The only way that students can really learn is if they want to learn, so I think that figuring out what they are interested in and then applying it to whatever I'm teaching them can be extremely successful. This makes them more engaged and excited about the topic.
