Fun Facts
I am a huge sports fan! I enjoy watching and playing tennis, soccer, basketball, football, and even frisbee golf! I am also a huge outdoors person. I love camping in the wilderness for days in any kind of weather. Although I have only been outside the US a couple of times, I hope to eventually travel the world and see Europe, Asia, Africa, etc.
About Me
I am a freshman at THE Ohio State University studying science/ohio/columbus">Computer Science and Engineering! I hope to eventually obtain a job with some sports-related industry that requires a programmer or a software developer.
Experience
I have tutored in various topics, ranging from math to Spanish to even tennis! I have the most experience with teaching math, as last year I worked at Mathnasium Learning Center, a facility that taught all levels of math (K-12), from basic operations to algebra and calculus. I continue columbus">tutoring today by volunteering with the Adopt-A-School Program and helping students at Graham Expeditionary Middle School with mathematics.
Approach
Going throughout elementary and high school, I had some great teachers, and some not-so-great teachers from whom I have discovered what and what not to do when teaching students. When I help students, I will not just tell them how to solve the problem, but will ask questions which will not only move them in the right direction, but simultaneously make sure that they can solve the problem on their own. I make sure the student not only knows the answer, but understands it as well.
