I love astrology, and I can start talking about it anytime and with strangers. I also enjoy a lot dancing, and I suffer from the colombian syndrome of believing everyone can and wants to dance.

About Me

I am a candidate of the MFA in Creative writing in Spanish of New York University. I write poetry and short stories, and also do bookbinding. I want to make books, yes, but I also really enjoy studying and teaching.

Experience

I have been a Spanish instructor in New York University for almost two years. During this time, I have tutored students from different levels and backgrounds. I have also taught in Elementary schools and I was a museum educator for the Gold Museum in Bogotá, Colombia, for a year and a half.

Approach

I think the best way to learn a language is practicing it in real-life situations, and being exposed to interesting material such as readings, music and news. I think learning a language is also learning culture. English is my second language and I have been very fortunate to have teachers that had always encouraged me, and had showed me how fun learning can be. I attempt to bring this attitude to all my sessions!
