About Me

I teach pre-school art to infants and toddlers during the day and have a career in Film & Television in the Art Department.

In addition to my teaching art and my career in film, I'm also a LGBTQIA activist and community leader. I volunteer for the New York City Anti-Violence Project and the Brooklyn Community Pride Center in downtown Brooklyn.

Experience

I have over three years professional film and television in the Art Department. In addition, I have done freelance video production for two of those years between film jobs and am very familiar with production planning, camera and lighting, sound mixing and post production. I know Avid, Final Cut Pro and ProTools all very intimately. As a result of my experience in the art department making props, I have been able to keep my photoshop skills sharp.

Approach

Much of what I do in my life involves teaching others from what I have learned either in the field or in a class setting. It brings me great joy to pass on information or styles of learning and growing to others. I find that the lessons I have learned that were the hardest have come in the most handy and I delight in sharing those with others in environments where there is so much room to learn and make mistakes without judgment or criticism.
