Fun Facts
My hobbies include reading and cooking. Whenever I have free time, I can found found doing either activities. I have four younger siblings, whose ages range from 6 to 21.
About Me
I major in Biochemistry at the City College of New York. I have been on the Dean's List for 1 year. I hope to apply attend Graduate School for Biochemistry or Cell and Molecular Biology. My ultimate goal is to become the best research scientist that I can be.
Experience
Although my main focus for the past few years has been on laboratory research, working with children has always been an interest of mine. I started babysitting when I was in Middle School and began my tutoring "career" when I was in High School. When I entered my freshmen year of college, I joined a community service fraternity, with which I was able to tutor and interact with Elementary and Middle School students in the community. I also tutored while part of the Violence Intervention Program.
Approach
Encouraging and helpful educators have made a great impact on my academic career. Learning from them, I have been able to mentor students through encouragement and patience. I have realized that for many struggling students, the problem lies with a lack of interaction and participation in the classroom. I want to help students reach their potential and guide them toward their academic success by providing a comfortable environment that allows for questions and provides answers.

I took a Child Development course during College. I received an A+ in the course. This course was required for my Psychology minor.
Organic Chemistry I Tutoring
I received an A+ in Organic Chemistry I during College. This course was required for my Biochemistry degree. I also have experience in Organic Chemistry laboratory work during my time as research assistant in an Organic Chemistry research laboratory.
Organic Chemistry II Tutoring
I received an A+ in my Organic Chemistry II course during College. This course was required for my Biochemistry degree. I also have experience in Organic Chemistry laboratory work during my time as research assistant in an Organic Chemistry laboratory.
AP English Tutoring
I was enrolled in English Honors, AP English LANG/COMP, and AP English LIT/COMP throughout High School. I received a 4 on the ENG LANG/COMP AP exam and a 5 on the ENG LIT/COMP AP exam.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have many years of experience working with Elementary School, Middle School, and High School students. I have tutored High School students during my time volunteering for the Violence Intervention Program. I also have experience in private tutoring.
Psychology Tutoring
I was enrolled in AP psychology in High School and received a 5 on the AP exam. I have also taken various Psychology courses throughout College and am in the process of applying for a Psychology minor.
SAT Math Tutoring
I have experience in tutoring High School students for the mathematics section of the SATs. I also have experience tutoring math in the SATs format to younger students. I received a grade of 750 on the mathematics section of the SATs.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
I have tutored Sigh School students for the verbal and writing sections of the SATs. I also have experience in tutoring verbal and writing in SATs format to younger students. I received a 690 and a 750 in the verbal and writing sections, respectively.
