About Me

My name is Patrice Williams and I am a junior attending Coppin State University in maryland/baltimore">Baltimore, Maryland. I am majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I hope to one day attend medical school and become and anesthesiologist. I am very active around campus and am a part of many organizations. Being in these organizations has greatly strengthened my leadership skills and has taught me great time management and organizational skills.

I have previously tutored at Rosemont Elementary/Middle School in maryland/baltimore">Baltimore, Maryland in which I tutored a first grader in math, reading, and writing. THis was such a reqarding experience becuase I saw a great improvement in the student, not only in his academics, but his personality as well. When he began to perform better in school, he was more sociable and outgoing. Also, I worked in the Academic Resource Center at my school as an academic maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor where I helped students with biology, math and english.

My approach when maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring is simply allowing the student to tell me what he or she is specifically having trouble with and attacking that problem. I try to explain concepts as simple as possible so that it will be better understood. I have a great amount of patience and I belive that is the most important characteristic that a maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor must have besides knowledge of the subject.
