Fun Facts
I love sports! I am a die-hard Mets and Giants fan. I also love to cook! I have an older brother and a twin sister, and I live on Long Island. I love working with children too, especially as a volunteer at the local children's hospital.
About Me
I am a senior Biology major and Biochemistry minor at Hofstra University. I have been on the Dean's List every semester. I was the president of the pre-medical organization at Hofstra University last year, and when I graduate I will be attending medical school in the fall!
Experience
As a member of Honor Society in high school, I spent some time tutoring students in Biology. At Hofstra University I was a tutor for a Calculus class. I spent each week working with the students on their homework and clarifying anything that was learned in class that they did not understand.
Approach
The first time I had a one-on-one tutor was when I was studying for my MCAT. I learned that an effective student encourages the student and is there to make the learning experience enjoyable. I really appreciated how patient my tutor was with me, and I intend on being just as patient as a tutor. I also hope to pass on effective studying skills that the student can use in his or her future.
