About Me
I am an Administrative Assistant III at Tennessee State University. My previous job was with Metro Public Schools as an Teacher's Assistant. Now I am working on completing a few certifications in Information Technology and looking to teach Information Technology classes.
Experience
I had the opportunity to nashville">tutor students while working for Metro Schools. I mostly tutored students in math, however, I am very knowledgable in other subjects as well. Working for Frog nashville">Tutoring gives me the opportunity to change someones life by giving them the gift of learning.
Approach
As a child, my father always put pressure on me to excel in school and how important it was to go to college. I can say that he never gave me the answer when I needed help, instead he told me to figure it out for myself. Now that I have my own children, I tell them to try their best. Because my children have their own way of learning, I use the method that best fits each one of them. As a nashville">tutor, I would do the same for the person I am nashville">tutoring.

I am qualified to tutor SQL because I have done several projects in college. I understand primary keys and foreign keys in a table. I can create queries and generate reports.

I am qualified to tutor math because I was always good in math and I always scored high on tests when I was in school. My grades in math were always A's and B's.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I can help with reading comprehension by showing the child how to identify the main points and supporting ideas in a passage. I always scored high on tests and maintained A's and B's during the time that I was in school.
ACT Math Tutoring
I am qualified to tutor ACT Prep Math because I had to take the ACT in order to get into college. I can help a student make a high score in the math portion of the test by having them take practice test and teaching them various mathematical concepts.
ACT Reading Tutoring
I am qualified to tutor ACT Prep Reading because I scored high in that section on the ACT when I took it. I can teach the student how to manage their time when taking the reading portion of the test by giving them several tips when reading the passages and answering the questions related to that passage.
