I enjoy running and yoga whenever I have time! It is a great outlet from my stressful course load :) I also love to draw and create art for my friends and family.
About Me
I am a junior Biological Sciences major with Visuals Arts minor at Loyola University New Orleans. When I graduate, I hope to attend medical school in order to achieve my dream of becoming a doctor. I hope to live in New Orleans and continue my studies there.
Experience
As a writing tutor at the Writing Across Curriculum center at Loyola University, I had the opportunity to tutor students in a wide range of subjects. Although the focus was on writing, I learned a lot about different topics, types of writing, and how to tutor effectively and efficiently. I volunteer my time at the Children's Hospital New Orleans for the past two and a half years. I hope to impact even more lives through my experience working for Frog tutoring!
Approach
From my experience as a tutor, I have learned that it is not only important to communicate the material effectively, but it is equally as important to involve the students in tutoring sessions. Tutoring is about the student, not the tutor. It is our job to make sure the student understands the targeted material by the end of the session.

Biological Sciences
Arts Tutoring
In addition to a major in Biological Sciences, I have a minor in Visual Arts. I have taken four art classes (and in the process of taking another one) since the beginning of my freshman year of college. I have taken courses in both art history and studio.
English Tutoring
I am an English Writing tutor at Loyola University New Orleans. Currently, I work 6.5 hours a week at the WAC lab there. I have been working at the WAC lab for a year and a half now. I was required to take a 1 credit course to become a writing tutor.
