About Me
I am a graduate student at Loyola Marymount University. I will be getting my Master's Degree in Elementary Education along with my elementary teaching credential in May 2012. I did my undergraduate work at George Mason University where I obtained my degree in Psychology. I graduate Cumm Laude at George Mason and will graduate Summa Cumm Laude at Loyola Marymount. My immediate goal is to become an elementary teacher where I hope to inspire and empower my students to reach their full potential. Because I am so ambitious and have a profound love for learning my ultimate goal is to obtain either a PHD or an administrative credential in which I hope to have a significant impact on the educational field.
I have many experiences working with children and students in numerous settings. I have babysat, coached soccer and volleyball, and spent countless hours in classrooms. I have also had many opportunities to tutor middle and high school students once I graduated from George Mason. I tutored students weekly in all subject areas during an after-school program. The past 2 years at Loyola Marymount I was fortunate enough to continue tutoring as I obtained a Graduate Assistantship in the Athletics Department. I tutored Division 1 athletes in Psychology, English and Writing. I am very excited to become a part of the Frog Tutoring family and hope to have a positive impact on the future students that I am going to tutor and mentor!
I have always loved school and learning. I was the girl who never wanted to miss school and always got perfect attendance. My passion for education and learning has led me to want to share and give these wonderful experiences to others. Because I know not everyone will have this love for learning as I do I hope to make my sessions with my students inspiring and exciting while still helping them learn and grow in all areas of their lives, not just in the classroom. With positive feedback and constant encourgament I hope to help students realize their
